Sanger is thrilled to announce our newest Sanger Research Lab member, Daphne C. Watkins. Watkins holds several appointments at the University of Michigan, such as University Diversity and Social Transformation Professor at the National Center for Institutional Diversity and the Letha A. Chadiha Collegiate Professor of Social Work at the School of Social Work. Her research focuses on three key areas: (1) behavioral interventions for historically marginalized groups, (2) mixed methods approaches to research in context, and (3) leadership and organizational development, with an emphasis on executive coaching for faculty and professional development for social impact leaders.
“I have been actively involved in leadership and management research, teaching, and service for well over a decade,” Watkins shared. “I decided to join the Sanger Research Lab because I have been longing for more connections with groups that share my desire to develop and disseminate cutting-edge, evidence-based leadership and management research. I am excited to join such an inclusive community of leadership scholars across the university and look forward to what lies ahead.”
