Sue Ashford Receives Academy of Management Distinguished Scholar Award

Sue Ashford, the Michael & Susan Jandernoa Professor of Management and Organizations at the University of Michigan Ross School of Business and a Sanger Faculty Board member, has received the 2026 Distinguished Scholar Award from the Academy of Management’s Management and Organizations (MOC) Division.

Presented annually, the award recognizes scholars whose research has made outstanding contributions to the field of management and organizations. Ashford’s research has advanced understanding of leadership development, leader effectiveness, middle management voice and issue selling, job insecurity, and individual proactivity.
