Siyu Yu earns Best Publication Award for 2024

Siyu Yu, assistant professor of management and organizations at Michigan Ross and a Sanger Research Lab member, has received the Best Publication Award for 2024 from the International Association of Conflict Management. The award recognizes the top paper published across disciplines on topics related to conflict management, including power, diversity, and negotiation.

Yu was recognized for her Organization Science paper, “The company she seeks: How the prismatic effects of ties to high-status network contacts can reduce status for women in groups.” Selected from a highly competitive pool of research published in leading journals, the committee cited the paper’s theoretical richness and rigorous empirics.
