On November 6, 2025, the Sanger Leadership Center hosted Tiffanie Boyd (MBA ’98, BBA ’94), executive vice president and chief people officer at McDonald’s and member of the Sanger Advisory Board, for the latest installment of the Leadership Dialogues speaker series. She was joined by Dr. Monica Worline, faculty director of the Center for Positive Organizations and faculty member in management and organizations at Michigan Ross, for a candid conversation about how leaders can grow people and culture in an era of constant change and emerging AI.
Boyd underscored that business transformation only works when leaders invest in people—not just processes. She spoke about clarity, accountability, and developing talent as levers for organizational performance. Worline grounded the discussion in research, noting that connection, compassion, and psychological safety are not “nice-to-haves,” but proven drivers of results. During Q&A, students pushed on AI, transparency, and how to build purpose-driven workplaces without losing the human element.
This session was delivered in partnership with the Center for Positive Organizations, the Black Business Students Association, and the Michigan Business Women, highlighting our shared commitment to leadership development across the Michigan Ross community.
