In August, members of our Sanger Research Lab took part in the yearly Academy of Management Conference. They joined over 10,000 other management scholars to share their research and discuss trends and goals for research and teaching in the field of management. Sue Ashford gave a powerful keynote address (delivered via a Jeopardy game) for the Lifetime Achievement Award she received in 2020. Christina Bradley, a fifth-year PhD candidate at Ross, won the best student paper award from the Conflict Management Division for her second-year PhD project. Bradley and Laurel Detert, a third-year PhD candidate, organized “Showcase Symposiums,” which were evaluated as being in the top 10% of symposia submitted to the Academy. Gretchen Spreitzer and our friends at the Center of Positive Organizations hosted their annual Positive Organizational Scholarship breakfast, which had over 200 attendees. Michigan faculty and students also enjoyed a very well-attended Michigan party, where friends from universities around the world stopped by to say hello.
