The Sanger Leadership Center is excited to announce that Tiffanie Boyd, Senior Vice President and Chief People Officer of McDonald’s USA, has joined the Sanger Advisory Board.

Tiffanie received her BBA from Michigan Ross in 1994 and returned to earn her MBA in 1998.

As the Senior Vice President & Chief People Officer for McDonald’s USA, Tiffanie leads the People function for the US business and is accountable for strategy, talent management, performance management, leadership development, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. By partnering with leaders, employees, and franchisees, Tiffanie brings the McDonald’s mission and values to life for all employees and partners across the country.

Tiffanie joined McDonald’s in January 2021 after almost 23 years with General Mills.

“Leadership is the difference maker and great leaders are needed across every industry and field of work,” Tiffanie shared. “The Sanger Leadership Center is focused on building skills to help people become great leaders. I had the privilege of working at General Mills during Steve Sanger’s tenure as CEO.  He was inspiring. He cared about people. He led the company to accomplish amazing things. I want to support his vision and impact organizations through positive leadership the way he did.”

Sanger’s faculty director, Lindy Greer, believes that Tiffanie’s leadership experience is invaluable. “Tiffanie’s passion for people has been evident throughout her career. People have been at the center of the organizational change she’s created at both General Mills and McDonald’s.”

Dr. Greer had the chance to work alongside Tiffanie to mentor and advise teams of students at the Leadership Crisis Challenge in January. “Tiffanie’s advice to our students was spot on. We appreciated her enthusiasm and insight; it was critical to our students’ learning and success. We look forward to the positive impact she will continue to make on Michigan students as part of our board.”

Tiffanie is the thirteenth member to join the Sanger Advisory Board, which is composed of accomplished and motivated executive professionals who are passionate about developing the next generation of leaders. The Board represents a variety of industries and experience levels and is dedicated to advancing the Center’s mission in three key areas: strategic input, fundraising, and corporate connection. Board members meet with the Center leadership several times per year and also contribute their expertise at several of Sanger’s programs.
