The Sanger Leadership Center is proud to announce the appointment of Rebecca Callahan to the Sanger Advisory Board. A dedicated leadership coach and community builder, Callahan brings a deep background in career development, operations, and alumni engagement.
Callahan is the Founder of Summer Day LLC and a certified career and leadership coach (ACC & CPCC), specializing in guiding early- and mid-career women in aligning purpose with leadership. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Alumni Content & Community at Signature Leaders, where she created impactful programming and helped build a strong, connected network of high-performing women leaders. Her career spans over two decades in marketing, client management, sales, product, and operations roles.
Callahan holds a BA from the University of Colorado and earned her MBA from the Ross School of Business in 2003. Based in Denver, she remains an active member of the Michigan alumni community.
Reflecting on her decision to join the Sanger Advisory Board, Callahan shared:
“Michigan and Ross played a pivotal role in shaping my career and gave me a lasting network and community I continue to value deeply. Joining Sanger’s board felt like a meaningful way to give back to an institution that has given me so much.”
Her commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders is central to her involvement:
“I’m passionate about helping educate and inspire the next generation of leaders—equipping students not only with the skills they need, but also the confidence and vision to lead with purpose. It’s an honor to support their growth and be part of their journey.”

Callahan joins a diverse group of accomplished professionals who help guide Sanger’s mission to develop the next generation of leaders. The Board plays a crucial role in providing strategic input, supporting fundraising efforts, and fostering corporate connections. Members attend bi-annual board meetings with the Sanger team and also contribute their expertise at several of Sanger’s programs.
