In a recent Poets&Quants “Best & Brightest” profile, Steven Cole-Schwartz (EMBA ’26) reflected on what brought him to Michigan Ross—and pointed to the Michigan Model of Leadership as the deciding factor.
Steven cited the program’s reputation, global access, rigor, and people among his reasons for choosing Ross, but it was the school’s approach to leadership that set it apart:
“The roots at Ross are in strategy and in leadership, which comes to life in the Michigan Model of Leadership. That model was the deciding factor for me.”
He noted that the emphasis was clear from the start, describing an orientation that paired rich leadership content with the results of students’ first 360-degree assessments, executive coaching, and team coaching.
“Ross builds strategic leadership into the structure from the start, using methods that make it useful to seasoned managers and organizational leaders in our day-to-day.”
