The Sanger Leadership Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristin Toth to the Sanger Advisory Board. A founder, executive, and board leader with deep expertise across consulting, retail, and technology, Toth brings a powerful combination of operational rigor, entrepreneurial insight, and a long-standing commitment to leadership education.

Toth is the Founder and CEO of Ulu Partners, where she advises startup CEOs on scaling high-growth ventures into enduring companies. Her career includes senior leadership roles at innovative organizations such as Amazon, as well as executive and board experience with companies including Fernish, Dolly, Zulily, and Code Fellows. She currently serves on the boards of Radiant Logistics, Armoire, MTRWestern, and Aira Technologies, and chairs the Governance Committee at Radiant Logistics.

In addition to her executive and board work, Toth is an educator and frequent speaker, currently teaching the Entrepreneurship Practicum at the University of Michigan. She is also a contributor to the book Women in Tech.

A two-time University of Michigan alum, Toth holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan, as well as dual master’s degrees in management and engineering from MIT Sloan and MIT.

Reflecting on her decision to join the Sanger Advisory Board, Toth shared:
“Sanger is doing some of the most thoughtful and effective work I’ve seen in academia to translate leadership theory into real, high-impact learning experiences. Their model prepares students not just to understand leadership, but to practice it meaningfully in classrooms, on campus, and beyond.”

Her commitment to developing future leaders is a central driver of her involvement:
“I believe leadership is one of the most powerful tools for creating meaningful impact in the world. I’m honored to support Sanger’s work in helping students develop the confidence, judgment, and self-awareness needed to lead thoughtfully across careers, communities, and causes.”

Sanger’s interim managing director, Michelle Austin, commented, “Kristin brings a combination of rich experience in leadership at several tech companies and start-ups, board governance experience, and deep ties to the University of Michigan. Her perspective and expertise will be an invaluable asset to Sanger as we continue to evolve our leadership development programs and expand our impact.”

Toth joins a diverse group of accomplished professionals who help guide Sanger’s mission to develop the next generation of leaders. The Advisory Board provides strategic insight, supports fundraising efforts, and fosters corporate and alumni connections, with members contributing their expertise through bi-annual board meetings and engagement across Sanger programs.
