The Sanger Leadership Center’s Managing Director, Jeff Domagala, recently visited Washington, DC, as part of Michigan Ross Master of Accounting (MAcc) orientation. During his visit, he introduced students to Sanger and emphasized the importance of leadership development. In a series of workshops, Domagala showcased the Michigan Model of Leadership (MMoL), demonstrating how students can leverage this framework to enhance their self-awareness. He guided them in strategically mapping out their leadership development plans (LDPs) to ensure the best return on investment based on their unique career goals.
Included in the orientation activities was a visit to the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, where MAcc students learned about culture and how to reinforce it. The Smithsonian, a hub where values and culture intersect, embraces curiosity, diversity, and interconnectedness. As they explored the museum, students discovered how history reflects and shapes values and culture, gaining insights into reinforcing the type of culture they wish to cultivate during their MAcc program.
While in DC, Domagala collaborated with the One-Year Master’s and Advancement teams to host an information session on the MMoL for local alumni. Attendees explored the framework, reflecting on their current skills and areas for improvement and discovering ways to leverage the tool to optimize team dynamics. The session concluded with a networking opportunity, providing space for connection and conversation.
From current students to alumni, Sanger provides resources and tools to support all leadership development journeys.
