The Sanger Leadership Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Ariane Goldman (BBA ’00) to the Sanger Advisory Board. Founder and chief creative officer of HATCH, Goldman brings extensive experience in entrepreneurship, brand building, and identifying opportunities in underserved markets.

Goldman founded HATCH, a premium maternity lifestyle brand, in 2011 after launching her first company, twobirds. Inspired by her own experience during pregnancy, Goldman identified an opportunity to reimagine maternity wear and built HATCH into a category-defining brand spanning fashion, skincare, and editorial content. Following HATCH’s acquisition in 2024, she continues to lead the brand’s creative vision.

A Michigan Ross alumna and serial entrepreneur, Goldman is now embarking on her third company. She frequently speaks on entrepreneurship, building community-driven brands, and identifying whitespace in categories the market has overlooked.

Reflecting on her decision to join the Sanger Advisory Board, Goldman shared:

“I know firsthand how much it matters to have people invest in you before you have all the answers, and I want to be that person for the next generation of founders and leaders coming through Sanger. There is something especially meaningful about giving back to a program built around character and purpose, not just credentials.”

Sanger’s Managing Director, Michelle Austin, commented, “Ariane brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a wealth of experience building brands around unmet needs and meaningful purpose. Her willingness to share not only her successes, but also the challenges and lessons that come with leading will offer an invaluable perspective to our students. We’re thrilled to welcome her back to Michigan Ross as a member of the Sanger Advisory Board.”

Goldman joins a diverse group of accomplished professionals who help guide Sanger’s mission to develop the next generation of leaders. The Advisory Board provides strategic input, supports fundraising efforts, and fosters corporate and alumni connections, with members contributing their expertise through bi-annual board meetings and engagement across Sanger programs.
