At Michigan Ross, leadership development is woven into the student experience from day one. A recent feature in Poets&Quants highlights the Full-Time MBA Class of 2026 and reinforces Ross’s reputation for action-based learning.
As the school’s hub for leadership development, the Sanger Leadership Center plays a central role in shaping how students grow as leaders, often influencing where they choose to pursue their education.
Incoming student Saron Mechale (MBA ’26) shared her excitement about engaging with Sanger programs like the Leadership Crisis Challenge and Legacy Lab:
“I am excited to explore the Sanger Leadership Center and particularly participate in two programs: the Crisis Challenge so I can grow my skills as a leader when working with a team to respond to a business crisis to solve an unprecedented challenge within a limited time,” she commented. “I am also excited to participate in the Legacy Lab because one of my goals for the MBA is to have time to reflect on my personal strengths and weaknesses with the goal of intentionally aligning myself with my future vision and goals.”
Matt Ganderson, managing director of the Full-Time MBA Program at Michigan Ross, emphasized the breadth and depth of opportunities offered through Sanger.
“There are a plethora of opportunities for students to sharpen their communication, leadership, and empathy abilities through the Sanger Leadership Center, which accelerates leadership development through bold ideas, transformative experiences, and inclusive communities,” he shared.
Whether students are building self and team leadership skills through Collaboration Lab during Orientation and MAP, or participating in several Sanger programs to earn the Michigan Ross Leader Endorsement, Ross offers a variety of pathways to grow.
